Pontiac Public Library will be closed Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 in honor of Thanksgiving. Regular hours will resume Saturday, November 30.
Stop by the library between Thursday, November 7th through Saturday, November 9th for our fall book sale! This year everyone is encouraged to fill up a paper bag for $5. All proceeds from the book sale go to help the library purchase new materials for the collection.
Call the library at 815-844-7229 with any questions.
Join us Thursday, October 24, at 6 pm for A Life in Rhythm with Rocky Maffit! Rocky Maffit draws on body percussion, voice, and an amazing variety of World Percussion instruments to draw out the “inner drummer” that lives in us all. This show blends cultural history, world geography, percussion, song and fun to absorb and engage the audience in a world of rhythm and beauty. The show employs a large amount of audience participation and is extremely child friendly!
Please register for this free program by calling the library at 815-844-7229, sending a message to firstname.lastname@example.org, or stopping by the circulation desk. This program is being brought to you by the Illinois Humanities Council Road Scholars Speakers Bureau in cooperation with Pontiac Public Library
