Online Resources for Children

PBS Kids contains educational games, activities, and coloring pages for children to play. Children can also watch videos of some of their favorite characters like Curious George, Arthur, Elmo, Clifford, and many more! PBS also provides children with reading activities and a tracking system to help watch their reading progress.

Crayola’s website provides coloring pages, activity sheets, word games, and puzzles that are printable or can be done right at the computer. Create your own story, play games, or make a craft all with the help of Crayola!

Scholastic offers The Stacks for Kids, a website for readers who are interested in books like 39 Clues, Goosebumps, Harry Potter, and Captain Underpants. Children are able to create a profile page and connect with others to talk about books they are reading. Scholastic’s Stacks for Kids also offers games, blogs, and message boards to encourage safe interaction with other readers.

The World of Jan Brett provides viewers with coloring pages, activities, and online or printable games all based around her books. You can also learn how to draw some of your favorite characters from her stories!

Random House features characters from Sesame Street, Dr. Seuss, Junie B. Jones, Thomas the Train, Berenstein Bears, and many more. Each character has their own webpage with games, activities, and information on their latest books.
