Book Discussion Group
The Adult Book Discussion Group will be meeting next on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 6:00 PM. The earlier time is necessary to adapt to the library's new closing time of 7:00 PM. The book to be discussed is The World Is Flat by Thomas L. Friedman. Copies are available at the circulation desk.
NEW RSA CAT
The Alliance Library System has switched its OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) to a new web address. We are in the process of updating the library's computers now. If you have bookmarked the RSA CAT on your home computer, you should change the URL in that bookmark, or delete the old URL address and bookmark the new one: http://rsacat.alsrsa.org/
Library Knitting ClubDue to new library hours, effective Thursday, May 28th, the Knitting Club will now be meeting from 5:45 to 7:00 PM. The club will then meet at that time on every other Thursday. Please contact Janie at the library if you have any questions or concerns - (815) 844-7229. We hope this will not be inconvenient for the club's members. The Pontiac Public Library is expanding! We are bursting at our seams with materials and lack of space for programs to offer you. To address these issues we will be expanding into space upstairs in our building at 211 E. Madison St. This space was formerly leased from us by Livingston County.
